Role Summary

We are recruiting across our Electronics team here at our Fareham facility. The role can range from a junior Engineer up to a Senior Electronics Design Engineer & you will provide Electrical Engineering support for all phases of product development, from design through production to be based at our site in Fareham.

You will be an integral part of our Engineering department & we can provide opportunities throughout our business including training & development.

Core responsibilities

  • To design, analyse, commission and verify analogue and digital circuits in accordance with defined requirements specifications including cost and reliability targets.
  • To document design activities, ensuring traceability of design to requirements, whilst also ensuring adherence to relevant project, company or regulatory standards and processes.
  • Work collaboratively with systems, safety, software and mechanical engineers to ensure that hardware level requirements have been met and to overcome trade-offs or problems identified in the design
  • Contribute to the development of system architectures considering alternative concepts and trade studies in order to determine evidence led preferred solutions.
  • To interpret system requirements into clear unambiguous hardware design requirements and to develop Hardware Development Plans to identify workflow.
  • Provide support to production during introduction of new products.
  • Provide support for component obsolescence issues.


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Educated to degree level, ideally in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • Varying experience in understanding or appreciation of Hardware ie) power supplies, power design, sensors, optics etc
  • Varying experience in Electronic Design Engineering
  • Ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to interpret a range of complex technical information.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion.
  • Willingness to want to learn & develop
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management tools.
