This is a key contract management role also requiring specialist knowledge, with responsibility for overseeing the delivery of the total facilities management (TFM) contract and works projects across a number of establishments, for defining projects and for technical and statutory assurance.  

 

 

 

The custodial TFM contract includes maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds, Health and Safety and Fire safety maintenance, small-scale works and building projects, management of stores, cleaning of non-prisoner areas, waste, energy and environmental management and escorts for contractors and their vehicles.  

 

 

 

Due to the urgent need to fulfil this role, the successful candidate must have active SC or CTC Clearance

 

You will be required to provide details of your Security Clearance at the point of application for this role.  You will need to provide details of the following:

 

  • Who holds your SC / CTC Clearance? Clearance expiry date?

 

 

As Facilities Manager – (Inside IR35) your main responsibilities would be: 

 

 

 

  • Manage the development and deployment of IT solutions, change and risk management and the interaction between development and support services.

 

 

  • Take ownership of technical design decisions throughout the delivery and assist project decision-making around the appropriate way to achieve deployment.

 

 

  • Use data to inform planning. Manage complex internal and external dependencies.

 

 

  • Ensure service delivery adheres to the appropriate standards.

 

 

 

 

Essential:

 

 

 

  • Facilities Management experience – ESSENTIAL

 

 

  • Experience in application of statutory regs – ie: safety – ESSENTIAL

 

 

  • Stakeholder engagement experience – ESSENTIAL

 

 

  • Experience of dealing with contracted out services – ESSENTIAL

 

 

  • Good interpersonal skills / communicator – ESSENTIAL

 

 

Desirable:

 

 

 

  • Public Sector or Prison experience – DESIRABLE

 

 

  • IWFM Level 4 – DESIRABLE

 

 

  • NEBOSH – DESIRABLE

 

 

  • IOSH - DESIRABLE
