Role Summary

We are recruiting an exciting Production Planner for our market-leading Heatric business based in Poole. With a significant order book & exciting growth plans, this is a great opportunity to join our business!

In this role you will create efficient, achievable production plans and departmental work flows which enable effective working and consistent manufacturing performance in line with customer On Time Delivery, SIOP and revenue targets.

Past experience is not essential however strong Excel & fantastic stakeholder management skills are. We believe we can train & mould the right individual. In return we'll develop your career, provide full training & the chance to work for a market-leader in the energy market.

Core Responsibilities

  • Creating weekly production schedules, daily plans and KPI sheets in line with available labour, skill levels, available plant and machines, inspection capacity, raw material and sub-contract availability
  • A good understanding of Demand-Capacity planning and ability to Level Load and Balance short to mid-term Production Plans on planning tool(s), ensures production schedules are aligned to Customer OTD, overall SIOP and revenue profiles
  • Allocates inventory to customer shipments and coordinates special requirements, and inspections with projects and provides testing/kitting requirements to Materials Manager , performs filing and other clerical type duties
  • A good understanding and capability of working on ERP systems, scheduling systems and MS office products with ability and enthusiasm to implement efficient working practices


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Previous experience in Production Planning would be advantageous but not essential. Experience in document controlling or admin would be helpful
  • Ability to work within a customer-focused team dedicated to achieving OTD and financial targets
  • Good written communication and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service orientation, internal and external
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong prioritisation and decision-making skills
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
  • Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports
