This is your opportunity to join Babcock as a Vehicle Mechanic and Bowman Fitter and Tester. As a Vehicle Mechanic & Bowman Fitter you will be joining a team of 6 that inspect, service, repair and overhaul Military vehicles. Your role will be split between L1 repair of these vehicles and inspection/L1 repair of the BOWMAN communications system, working closely with other departments and the MoD.

Who we are looking for?
We are looking for an effective communicator who has the ability to develop effective relationships internally at a variety of levels, you will work well in a team but also under your own initiative. This role would suit a new service leaver or someone from a commercial car garage.

What will you be doing?
As a Vehicle Mechanic and Bowman Fitter and Tester you will

• Undertake the Diagnostic, inspection and assessment of vehicles and associated mechanical / electrical equipment, inc BOWMAN in line skills & competency
• Create job cards and demanding material where the relevant ERP (SAP) training has been completed.
• Complete vehicle and equipment documentation and test certificates / reports to current standards.

The experience you'll bring
• You will hold an NVQ/C&G Level 3 or Class 1 in a mechanical related disciple
• Knowledge of the BOWMAN comms system would be an advantage but not essential, full training will be provided if necessary.
• HGV licence would be an advantage but not essential
• You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance
