Deputy Project Director

Our client, a large government customer, are seeking a Deputy Project Director/Project Manager to join their team. The role is predominantly home based with some work at the High Wycombe site. The role requires SC clearance and candidates must be sole UK nationals.

Requirements are scheduled to run until 30/06/2023 and offer a rate up to £525/day

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

Main Responsibilities

• Acting as the Project Manager and Deputy Project Director for the Project.
• Ensuring that project-level risks are identified, assessed, managed and escalated to programme level if necessary.
• Ensuring that the Programme schedules (supported by the integral Programme Support Office PMO) contain accurate and up-to-date synchronised delivery plans showing key activities, milestones and decision points.
• Developing and maintaining close working relationships.
• Delivering Concept Phase as part of the CADMID Cycle

Essential Skills and Experience

• Requirements Manager experience
• To have worked at SO2 level
• Able to work autonomously and with initiative
• Able to communicate effectively and influence using the written and spoken word
• SC (security clearance)

Desirable Skills and Experience

• QWI/EWI qualification
• Previous project management experience
• DV Clearance

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas cannot be accepted.
