The operations team is at the heart of the contract success providing a large Asylum centre on behalf of UKVI at AASC Linton. The department will be responsible for the onsite support, provision of service and safeguarding of our vulnerable Service Users. Pivotal to the effective running of site, members of the department will be responsible for the establishment of cohesive and collaborative ways of working. The team is also responsible for optimising service and supporting continuous improvement across the operational workstreams.
The Activity Co-ordinator is responsible for:

• Takes responsibility for proactive engagement with staff and residents to develop an activity timetable
• Act as a key contact within site for external agencies delivering a service to Sus supporting in the delivery and relationship management
• Delivery and supervision of key activities ensuring compliance with health, safety and risk assessments.
• Ensure all activities have adequate risk assessments ensuring the appropriate audit trail and staff access as required.
• Ensure residents have complete the relevant health checks and disclaimers prior to taking part in activities. Ensuring these are logged and documented in an appropriate manner.
• Report any incidents and/or escalations to the broader management team, identifying any particular trends or concerns.
• Build strong relationships with residents on site to support the development of the activities timetable to meet the needs of residents.

What you'll need to do the role:

Essential: GCSE or above and/or practicable experience in the delivery of activities. Previous experience:
Desirable: · Proven experience in delivering activities to vulnerable cohorts · Proven experience of working with refugee or asylum cohorts · Proven experience of planning and coordinating of events · Knowledge of: - UK asylum policy and process and how this impacts on other policy areas - The role of UKVI and how this impacts on other government departments - The role of local authorities and the third sector in the asylum process
