The Role of a Project Manager

Your role as a PM covers a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of the project’s objectives. As a PM with the Royal Navy, you will support various Programme management office departments and workstreams.

The post holder will be the Senior PM to support the communications strategy of the Programme. You will be responsible for managing small to medium projects within the Royal Navy, due to the sensitive of the projects, we are happy to share further information around the projects and how we work at the interview stage.

Essential Criteria

    Good knowledge and practical application of Project delivery methodologies Risk Management experience– project and operational. Understanding the principles, methods, techniques and tools for the preparation and monitoring of project budgets. Adaptability, business strategy, organisational and process design, procurement, presentations. Experience of delivering change through a project management lifecycle that could include Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid approaches.
Desirable:

    Have a relevant project management qualification (example Prince 2) Have delivered projects in both a Waterfall and an Agile/ Hybrid manner, using project
management tools such as JIRA and MS Project.

    Experience of delivering complex Business Change and IT delivery projects Desired Qualifications: Prince 2 practitioner Scrum Master (CSM)
