Safety and Environmental Assurance Engineer

Our client, a large government customer, are seeking a Safety and Environmental Assurance Engineer to join their team. The role is based in Bristol. The role requires SC clearance.

Requirements are scheduled to run until 31/09/2022

Rate: £450 - £550/day

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

The Role – Main Responsibilities

• This particular post is located within the Whole Boat Safety and Environmental Section, which has responsibility for Safety and Environmental Assurance to ISM Project Chief Engineer. 
• This particular role is responsible for the maintenance of the Environmental Case, inc. articulation of Environmental Impacts, management of legislative compliance (Environmental and Safety, production of relevant environmental case reports and associated documentation, and HAZIDs relating to environmental impacts.)
• Additionally, the management of hazardous materials (particularly asbestos) and the Inventory of Hazardous Materials produced for platforms.
• There are also some wider tasking relating to the environmental and safety management within the responsibility of the section.

Qualifications and Experience

• Environmental Management/Engineering Qualification of at least HNC
• Ideally Environmental Management experience

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas cannot be accepted.
