Airworthiness Engineer

Our client, a large government customer, are seeking an Airworthiness Engineer to join their team. The role is based in Bristol. The role requires SC clearance.

Requirements are scheduled to run for 125 days from initiation

Rate: £450 - £550/day

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support to all projects.
• Some line management responsibility for two Programmable Elements engineers.

Essential Experience/Skills Requirement

• Experience of DO178 and DO254 Airworthiness requirements.
• Understanding of TASA and development of cogent sub products using Claim/Argument/Evidence structures
• Knowledge and experience of RA5820 processes and the MACP 0-6 activity, completing assessments of MCRI evidence to support major modification assurance to the MAA as part of the TCE.

Desired Experience/Skills Requirement

• Experience of cyber vulnerability assessments.
• Experience of articulating short falls in Programmable Elements in terms of the equipment contribution to the risk to life (ECtRtL)
• Knowledge of GEAR and development of artefacts within.
• Defence Air Engineering In Service Support experience (Av/Programmable elements), including knowledge of ADS and ISTA.

Other Information

• Hybrid working arrangements possible; attending office location for specific reasons as articulated by organisation (possible to work full time from office if required).
• Some requirement for travel to contractor locations as required. Appropriate notice will be given.
