THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced Security Accreditation Coordinator to support our Bristol based defence client working on the Maritime Electronic Warfare Programme (MEWP) to deliver a suite of integrated Radar Electronic Surveillance Sensors, Electronic Counter Measure Systems and Control Systems.  Off payroll working rules (Inside IR35) apply for this opportunity. 

THE ROLE 

  • Delivery of Security Artefacts and Engineering Deliverables to Engineers and the Chief Engineer for the MEWP programme.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within team and with external stakeholders across MOD and industry to deliver the desired outputs.
  • Provide Security support to MEWP Projects in Assessment, Demonstration, Manufacturing phase and for in-service equipment.
  • Manage, deliver, review and update the Security Management Plan, Security processes and procedures
  • Manage the Security Working Group, chairing, managing action tracker, recording and disseminating minutes
  • Generate Security documentation (Security Aspects Letter, Security Grading Guide, Risk Management Accreditation Document Set) as required for MEWP acquisition projects
  • Populate Security Tools Defence Assurance Risk Tool (DART)
  • Support project phase Engineering activities from concept to delivery including trials planning and management, installation planning, schedule and transition into service management etc.
  • Review supplier proposals and technical documentation for compliance with Engineering and Security processes.
  • Provide input and support to DE&S GEAR Reviews and Assurance Process
  • Generate Technical and Security specifications within delivery Statements of Works
  • Ensure compliance of suppliers with relevant Statements of Work(s)
  • Execution of a Tender down-selection activities based upon the technical deliverables produced by industrial teams
  • Assist with the production, acceptance and resultant configuration control of a requirements acceptance procedure (Verification, Validation Requirements Matrix (VVRM) created by industry in accordance with an agreed Integrated Trials Evaluation and Acceptance Plan (ITEAP).
  • Comply with Safety and Environmental standards, legislation and processes for Defence equipment.
  • Challenge technical assumptions to identify improvement opportunities
  • Demonstrate creative and innovative thinking to find solutions to technical challenges
  • Provide input and support to project Engineering Management Plans
  • Provide support to Requirements Capture including preparation of System Requirements
  • Support Integration and Platform CIAP and A&A process liaising and communicating with key stakeholders within required timescales
  • Regular communication and working with SMEs and relevant Platform authorities to ensure activities are clearly aligned

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in a related area and relevant experience in order to undertake the above duties
  • Proven track record in security accreditation co-ordination 
  • Experience working on complex projects
  • Able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders and industry
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbally 
  • Must be in possession of a United Kingdom Secret security clearance
  • United Kingdom national only (no dual nationality)

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of Electronic Warfare (EW) and Combat System integration for Maritime Naval Surface ships
