An opportunity exists for a Cleaner to join us in Babcock Mission Systems at our Skelton offices based near Penrith, Cumbria. Babcock is a leading defence and technology company delivering a wide range of design, manufacturing and operational support projects to defence customers.

The difference you will make
You will perform a diverse range of site activities such as general household work, cleaning, building and site maintenance within a small team. Your main responsibilities will include:
• The cleaning of domestic and technical installations or equipment.
• Maintenance of domestic water and drainage systems.
• Cleaning and day-to-day maintenance of all site vehicles.
• Ordering materials to maintain cost effective stock levels.
• General labouring and porterage including receipt, packing and dispatch of goods.
• Supervision of contracted staff to ensure that work is carried out to agreed standards.
• Maintaining technical and administration records and provide information as required.
• Safety & Health of self and others who may be affected by work activities

You will be an adaptable, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is keen to make a positive impact every day.

Experience
• Experience of general building maintenance and cleaning techniques.
• A comprehensive knowledge of current safe working practices and safety procedures

Skills and attributes
• Basic Computer skills including email, Word and spreadsheets.
• Customer service focussed and possessing a strong work ethic
• Flexible, honest and a strong team player

Education / Licences
• CSE or GSCE grade D - E, or NVQ level2
• Possession of a current full UK driving licence.
