Interim Civilian Investigator

An opportunity for a Civilian Investigator to join an Operation team, joining the 3 that are already in place. They will be working alongside or take direction from the current Investigation team on reactive investigations.  The successful candidate will attend venues and identify CCTV opportunities and conduct CCTV trawls.

The hours will be flexible to meet the demands of the unit.

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for securing and reviewing CCTV evidence.
• Responsible for updating reports and producing evidential CCTV packages.
• Work in CCTV hubs supporting the operational team on reactive investigations as well as developing intelligence on those offenders committing P2W crimes.

Key Requirements: 

• Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
• Preferably looking for an ex-Officers to fulfil this role.
• Investigators need to be self-motivated and have good organisational and communication skills.
• Need to be able to work alone and as part of a team.
• Ex-Officers from an investigative background or with previous experience of retrieval / reviewing CCTV as well intelligence gathering and developing and experience in supporting proactive and reactive investigations are desirable skills for the role.
• ICT Skills: Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
