As a Business Support Manager your main responsibilities would be: 

  • Delivery of business services and support e.g. undertaking the provision of business services to the SSN Replacement team and other SDA delivery teams once part of the BM hub. Resolving ad-hoc BM queries and leading on administrative duties in relation to the arrangement and delivery of team event such as management and governance boards.
  • Managing the Workforce control total e.g. supporting the tracking of workforce activity and ensuring workforce planning requirements are understood and met by corporate teams including management of the relevant HR and resourcing tools.
  • Business planning, processes, and strategies e.g. development of business continuity plans, maintenance of the team Responsibility Assignment Matrix, and completing information returns for the SDA’s corporate centre teams.
  • Internal communications e.g. distribution of team and corporate messaging and managing a range of internal and external stakeholders, e.g. relating to accommodation, recruitment, onboarding and turnover of personnel, etc…
  • Management oversight and support to 2 x level 1 Executive Assistants.

Once in the hub, the post holder will work alongside hub members of a like-minded business management nature and will have responsible for the delivery of the tasks summarised above to other teams across the acquisition directorate.
You’ll have relevant experience in:

  • SC Cleared
  • Flexible, multitasking and a fast learner
  • Experience of business support and associated process improvement activity
  • Stakeholder management and engagement
  • Effective communication
  • Experience of working in business support (Public or Private Sector)
  • IAM NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Business Administration and Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Associate Membership of IAM highly desirable and working towards full membership of IAM
