We have a vacancy for a Senior WinTel Engineer - PKI to help develop and evolve our service to meet the fast-changing needs of our partners.

The successful candidate will need to combine strong technical skills with a consultative approach and work within a team of engineers ensuring services are integrated, delivered and operated to a high standard.

Joining the Technology, Engineering and Operations function as a Senior WinTel Engineer - PKI, you will have responsibility for Administering, maintaining, configuring and developing our Microsoft stack.

You will use your knowledge and experience to ensure that the infrastructure and services are configured securely, highly available and performant. Working with internal Product Management teams you will further develop the core platforms to meet availability requirements and emerging user needs.

As Senior WinTel Engineer your main responsibilities would be: 

• Working within a specialised team to support and maintain the infrastructure of our Microsoft stack
• Proactively monitoring platforms to identify security, performance and capacity issues
• Working autonomously in an AGILE team to manage a balanced workload of support and project deliverables
• Documentation of processes, configuration and known fixes to develop a shared knowledge base
• Controlled delivery of improvements, changes, and patches
• Working with the technical architects, other technical teams and external vendors to produce solutions that are intended to add to or improve functionality to the service.

Experience

Essential

• Experience in a lead/senior WinTel role
• Strong and proven experience of administering Microsoft Certificate Services
• Experience of HSM
• Knowledge of OpenSSL
• Knowledge of ADFS
• Strong PowerShell skills based around AD and automation
• Experienced engineer specialising in Microsoft Windows Server Enterprise, Active Directory, and Group Policy Management
• Windows Server 2012-2022 deployment, configuration and migration.
• DSC Experience would be desirable
• ADDS & GPO expert
• Multi Domain/Forest administration
• VMware administration
• WSUS patching and automation of patch deployment
• Experience in working in Kanban/Agile environments
• Experience in using Wiki/Jira tools.
• DFS configuration and administration
• Security Clearance

Desirable

• Experience of working with Agile methodologies.

Experience of cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/Azure
