Scheduler and Resource Manager- Inside IR35

Contract Term: 6 months

Contracting Authority: National Crime Agency

Location: London/remote

We are currently recruiting for a Scheduler and Resource Manager (Inside IR35) for the National Crime Agency.  This will be a 6-month contract which is currently fully remote.

As a Scheduler and Resource Manager your main responsibilities would be: 

  • Working with the IT Programme Management team to develop, implement and administer a process to capture the programme, project and workstream inputs/ outputs and outcomes.
  • Monitoring and managing the workstream in a time driven, managed system delivering the programme within the approved schedule. 
  • Assisting with delivery planning.
  • Ensuring the right person is applied to each task and monitoring that they are working to meet their pre-appointed tasks.
  • Using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project tools for scheduling.

You’ll have the following relevant skills/experience in:

  • A track record of developing and delivering a Programme schedule.
  • A detailed understanding of Microsoft Project with the ability to create, embed and run macros within Project to support a range of reporting requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • A track record of resource planning.
  • Proven ability as a confident communicator who can build, maintain and influence senior stakeholder relationships, including 3rd party suppliers.
  • Proven experience of applying programme and project management principles/methodologies and their application along with knowledge of Operational Excellence and associated improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of Earned Value (EV) and BEI (Baseline Execution Indexing) schedule management techniques to support actual vs. planned schedule reporting.
  • Excellent leadership skills across virtual/matrix managed teams.
