Description of the I.T Project manager position

The key purpose of role is to act as an Exit Manager to work with the incumbent supplier and preferred to ensure the incumbent administers the orderly and efficient ending of service provision and the transition of the services to the replacement supplier on expiry of the Service Agreement.
To manage the delivery and performance of the activities required to fulfil the exit activities of the SSM Project 
 Continual development of Specific Exit Plan (SEP) through working with the project procurement teams and DXC.  
To manage the contractual exit obligations and activities contained within the SSM contract, in support of the successful bidder transitioning from DXC services. Ensuring that all enduring capabilities of SSM contract have been identified, found owners and are managed

Essential skills of the I.T Project Manager
1. Proven extensive experience in developing exit plans with suppliers, including exit arrangements for services, hardware decommissioning and other exit service provisions including a and knowledge sharing.
2. Proven experience of defining and agreeing exit related accountabilities and responsibilities for the exiting supplier, and holding the supplier to account in respect of those responsibilities and any agreed deliverables.
3. Proven ability to manage complex and potentially strained supplier relationships during the period of exit, including demonstrable ability to defuse and dissolve conflict between involved parties.
4. Strong commercial and supplier management skills to encourage collaborative working across all parties.
