Senior Software Engineer - Java

Working from home

£60-70K plus extensive benefits package

Due to the highly secure nature of this work all applicants will be required to gain UK Security Clearance to the highest level. You must hold current UK Security Clearance to at least SC level and be a British National who has been resident in the UK for at least the last 10 years. You cannot have been outside the UK for more than 28 days on any one occasion within the last 5 years.

To be successful in this role:

You will be a confident Senior Software Engineer with experience in Java Software Development. Successful candidates will have experience in at least one of the following technologies:

• Java (essential)
• Active MQ messaging
• Spring Boot
• Sysadmin experience in RedHat / CentOS Linux 7+
• Comfortable in a working from home environment

One of our clients key critical IT infrastructure programmes, employing over 100 UK consultants, is looking for Senior Software Engineers to join their Gloucester based teams developing truly Enterprise scale Cloud infrastructure solutions. This is one of the few programmes within the UK that develop infrastructures at such scale and complexity.

Our client is looking for Senior Software Engineers / Developers to join a working from home Java development team that operates using Agile development methodologies. Developer activities for this role include:

• Design and coding of new capabilities for messaging applications
• Using automation techniques to test new capabilities in a manner that is consistently repeatable
• Working with stakeholders, and monitoring live applications to identify and implement continual service improvements
