This is a great opportunity to be part of an experienced team undertaking Roofing activity and providing multi skilled support to Small Works teams, to enable the completion of all planned and reactive activities.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Roofer who will undertake Roofing tasks utilising their skill set to determine the best way to investigate, rectify and repair faults. Contribute to the creation of solutions for tasks that arise during manufacture, repair and defect rectification of varying types of roof structure. Also act as a mentor to colleagues and provides guidance and instruction to one or more apprentices under their care and provide direction to Multi Skilled Operatives.

What will you be doing?

• Provide Roofing and multi skilled support work to ensure the department meets the objectives of the business.
• Ensure that work is carried out in line with current processes and make suggestions on improving systems and processes to increase productivity in accordance with set objectives and timescales.
• Work within all H&S legislation, Safe Systems of Work and control of work processes within BM&T Clyde policies.
• Working to heights and in inclement weather conditions.

The experience you'll bring

• Previous Roofing experience within a maintenance environment with experience of working with all types of roof structures.
• Recognised Slating/Roofing Apprenticeship qualified to SVQ Level 3 (or NVQ and C&G equivalent).
• Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality work to meet rigorous acceptance standards.
• Experience of Maintenance Procedures, Risk, and COSHH assessments and Safe Systems of Work with excellent team working and interpersonal skills.
• You must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role
