Due to the secure nature of this work all applicants will be required to gain UK Security Clearance to at least SC level. You must have been resident in the UK for at least the last 5 years and cannot have been outside the UK for more than 28 days on any one occasion within this time.

To be successful in this role:

As an Infrastructure Project Manager, you will need to be able to demonstrate a record of accomplishment of successful project delivery within a large infrastructure programme, ideally with a public sector client. Your will be able to clearly demonstrate what you have delivered and achieved in your project management career to date. You will have demonstrable experience of financial and budgetary management and must be comfortable in a client-facing role. Excellent communication skills are vital from both a verbal and written perspective.

Any professional Project Management accreditations and/or qualifications such as Prince2 or PMI’s PMPA would be a distinct advantage.

Job role and responsibilities:

As an Infrastructure Project Manager, you will be the person assigned to be responsible for the achievement of the project objectives. You will lead, direct and manage all aspects of the project, such as scope, effort, cost, quality, resources, communications, risks, procurement, as well as the project deliverables.

Project Managers also plan and deliver the project/work-package to time, budget and quality in accordance with both the contract and internal Management Frameworks. You will manage change, identify risk and manage challenges by influencing external (e.g. client/partner) and internal (e.g. team and management) stakeholders; challenges deviations from agreements with members, suppliers or customers.

You will also be required to guide and mentor other team members on programmes of work, and there will be ample opportunity for you to develop your project management career.
