We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager (Inside IR35) to work for MOD DSTL on a 16-month contract based in Salisbury, Porton Down.  This will require active security clearance.

As a Project Manager your main responsibilities would be: 

• Creating and leading the project to deliver the agreed outcomes within time, cost and quality constraints.
• Day to day management and leadership of the project and the project team. Providing effective leadership and management controls. Setting project controls. Designing the project structure and organisation appropriate to stage. Setting appropriate delivery methodologies. Managing effective transition between project phases.
• Developing the budget and tracking delivery within budget.
• Identifying skill requirements; and deploying and developing resources. Managing a medium sized team.
• Identifying and managing stakeholder relationships and need for senior level support. Managing internal and external relationships as appropriate.
• Identifying and monitoring project risks and issues. Developing mitigating actions and escalating as appropriate. Identifying and working with related projects to manage interdependencies.
• Supporting effective governance and decision making. Providing reporting and engaging in mechanisms that hold the Project Manager to account for delivery.

You’ll have relevant experience in:

• Project Management and delivery of tasks and projects to time, cost and quality.
• People leadership.
• Stakeholder management.
• Communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Using project management tools e.g. Microsoft Project and processes, e.g. progress reporting
• Financial management.

You’ll also have the following qualifications:

• Active Security Clearance.
• Project Management Qualification (such as APM PMQ or PRINCE2).
• Contract Management Capability Programme – Foundation (CMCP) (or achieve within first three months of contract).
