The position is responsible for all matters relating to the delivery of security compliance and rectification training across all aspects of aviation security at Ronaldsway Airport. The Isle of Man Airport (IOMA) Aviation Security Management System (SeMS) is fundamental to the ongoing improvement of security, and the success of the airport, and so the successful candidate will be required to provide assurances of its full implementation at all levels of the business.


Main accountabilities include:
• Conduct and record weekly and monthly audits relating to all aspects of security
• To develop, implement and maintain an enhanced security culture within Bidvest Noonan
• To reduce Security risk exposure and improve security performance
• Support the Bidvest Noonan Contract Security Manager with the development of security management strategy, policy and procedures
• To ensure the Bidvest Noonan’s regulated business security programs are appropriate, maintained and remain current
• To ensure full regulatory compliance and liaison with the IOMA and other regulatory bodies as appropriate
• Implementation and auditing of the relevant security policies and procedures within IOMA Airport
• Conduct regular performance assessments, identify areas that present a risk to the business and drive continual improvement in the field of aviation security
• Conduct rectification actions relating to any non-compliances, in tandem with training provider
• To provide guidance and advice on BN security policies to all BN security staff at IOM Airport
• To liaise closely with operational supervisors to assist in functional security matters
• To ensure regulated security training is booked and delivered by the training provider in a timely manner
• Maintain and enhance open lines of communication with all customers at IOMA
• Provide timely reports as required

Compliance Matters
• Carry out all activities of the role and processing activities (as above) as directed by the Contract Security Manager through its policies, procedures and training to ensure the success of the operation including the following:
• Full compliance:
o Health & Safety
o Security
o Training
o Equal Opportunities
o Harassment
o Data Protection & GDPR
• Remain up to date with all BN notices relating to policies and procedures
• Remain up to date with all relevant operational systems, including a variety of screening equipment
• Maintain a safe and secure working environment at all times


Qualifications and experience:
• Recognised experience and qualification in Aviation Security management
• Experience in Aviation Security performance
• Able to undergo security clearance
• Practical experience and understanding of UK/IOM NASP
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels and from different geographical and ethnic cultures
• Ability to implement policies and procedures and represent Bidvest Noonan in a professional manner at all times
• Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g. Word, Excel,
• Powerpoint and Outlook
• Self-motivated, disciplined, flexible attitude to change
• Prepared to occasionally work outside of normal business hours
Must have a Right to Work in the UK


Additional desired qualification as UK CAA Certified Instructor.
