The Role of a Project Manager

The role of Project Manager will be critical in helping Ramsey achieve its ambitions. Our Project Managers will be able to manage multiple smaller initiatives or concentrate on a single larger project. They are entrepreneurial in spirit often working their way into Project management from other technology disciplines like Business Analysis. A skill they may still use to ensure Projects are delivered smoothly and on time.

  • Establishing the project team and adhere to project governance cadence and escalation routes
  • Managing time, cost and quality constraints as laid out in the approved Business Case
  • Using project management tools and techniques to ensure a positive and successful outcome
  • Manage a varied group of internal and external stakeholders
  • Direct activities of all Ramsay resources assigned to the project
  • Own and manage the Project plan and RAIDs
  • Develop realistic project plan in conjunction with supplier(s)
  • Develop appropriate deployment approach/sequence for multiple sites (located throughout England) in conjunction with operational sponsors, and in alignment to other change programmes
  • Manage dependencies on any shared resource teams, e.g. infrastructure, integration as required

 

 

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience of using a PPM Tool or equivalent project management tools
  • Excellent planning, communication, and organisation skills.
  • Involved in end-to-end Project life cycle
  • Experience in Delivering Projects into multiple sites at once

 

Desirable Criteria

  • Significant experience in the delivery of complex, multi-£m business system projects from       initiation to project closure.
  • Experience in Business Analysis
