Crawley & Remote, 12 months assignment with a view to become Permanent

(Travel expectation to office 1 day per week )

THE ROLE

The Customer Experience Practice encompasses Rentokil Initial???s web, logged-in web, ecommerce, CRM and telephony platforms to provide transformational customer experiences.

Has demonstrable skills across the Product Management life cycle. Has deep practical understanding of the activities of the employer or client and is able to demonstrate the importance of product profitability within the business. Able to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders given the agreed product strategy and plan.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

    Monitors progress of requests for support and ensures users and other interested parties are kept informed. Takes corrective action to avoid or minimise delays.Liaises with systems development staff or software suppliers on the development of system enhancements to overcome known problems or further fulfil user requirements.In accordance with agreed procedures, monitors application systems for which responsible by regular scrutiny of reports from the applications software, systems software or service delivery staff. Notes problems and identifies performance trends. Takes corrective action to improve performance and to avoid problems arising.Ensures that requests for support are properly logged, assigned and responded to in a timely manner and according to agreed standards and procedures. Ensures users and other interested parties are kept informed of progress and that corrective action is taken to avoid or minimise delays.Initiates action, by systems development staff or software suppliers, on the development of system enhancements to overcome known problems or further fulfil user requirements.Accepts new releases of applications software from systems development staff or software suppliers.Works closely with system developers, and with other service-related functions, to ensure that services are designed in such a way as to optimise the cost / performance (availability) equation, and to optimise availability of services during major outage situations.Investigates all instances of service non-availability and failures and instigates remedial activities to the process of preventing reoccurrence and ensuring availability.Demonstrates financial awareness as a part of risk management (e.g., cost-effectiveness analysis of proposed counter measures).Initiates speedy and permanent resolution to problems in systems and services, by coordinating the efforts of the resolution team or teams. Documents such incidents and problems within the configuration management defect/problem reporting system. Matches unresolved incidents against existing problems, known errors and other incidents.Supports service level management in monitoring the impact of problems on agreed service levels and initiate any appropriate improvement actions.Allocates responsibilities and assigns packages of work to groups of staff. Ensures that work packages are aligned with the particular skills and abilities of teams. Supports teams in the delivery of work packages.Understands company???s own strategy and planning processes. Defines the product strategy and roadmap by specifying market requirements for current and future products.Designs and develops products based on maximising customer value, with prioritized features and corresponding justifications whilst minimising development and service costs. Understands current business capacity todeliver, including opportunities to reuse and exploit existing and underused capabilities. Ensures fit with the existing portfolio.Builds robust high-level plans for successful product launch. Ensures optimum use of resources to gain the required impact and buying influence.Updates and evolves the product roadmap as required with the necessary stakeholder support.Develops and manages defined communication channel(s) and/or stakeholder groups, proactively seeking to identify potential demand, and assisting in the creation of the business case. Builds long-term internal and /or external strategic relationships with key staff in client organisations.Actively pursues and tests the assumptions underlying delivery benefits and highlights any changes, initiating communication between stakeholders, and acting as a primary point of contact for a defined group, or groups.Captures and disseminates technical and business information. Monitors the level of business actually achieved.Works within a defined organisation governance framework, which may be under the oversight and/or direction of a project/programme management office.Works with client/user representatives to determine service level requirements.
