A new role is available for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to work as part of the growing Cyber Support Engineering team at Airbus. There will be an exciting opportunity to be part of the initial rollout and set up of new Network Infrastructure followed by the long-term maintenance, evolution and support. 

You will be part of a growing team who support internal and external customers and as part of this varied role you will have opportunities for exposure to multiple cryptographic products and the software development process.

Your main tasks will include:

- Leading investigations and resolving issues that are escalated from the help desk

- Assisting and mentoring junior members of the team, sharing knowledge so incidents can be resolved within SLA

- Maintaining the equipment on internal and external classified networks

- Involved in all aspects of the support of the infrastructure including build, patching, user support, data backup, and implementing changes, all following standard ITIL processes

- Main responsibilities will be on-site but may require occasional time at a customer site

Looking For:

- Airbus are looking for an engineer with experience supporting network infrastructure

- A keen and enthusiastic individual who is eager to learn, flexible and able to react to issues

- Good problem solving skills

- Strong communication skills both verbal and written

- Able to adapt to changing priorities

- Able to lead investigations and assist other members of the team

Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

- Server Hardware Configuration

- Active Directory and Group Policy

- Windows (Server and Desktop)

- Virtualisation setup and administration - ESXi

- Backup - Veeam

- Network, Workstation and server build, and patching

- DevOps Tooling administration

- UK National (no dual-nationals allowed) - able to attain UK Security Clearance
