Here at Babcock International Group, we are seeking a Bids Project Manager to develop and manage business opportunities for the Babcock Naval Design Partnership (NDP) and Framework Agreement for Technical Support contracts.
You will lead and co-ordinate efforts across Babcock operational sectors to create and manage new business for the company on these frameworks. This job includes interfacing with contractors, potential collaborators and MOD teams, responding to multiple concurrent opportunities, co-ordinating appropriate joint efforts across business units, preparation and submission of bids and proposals and the subsequent management of the successful tasks.

Who we are looking for?
We are looking for someone with significant first-hand experience in developing and coordinating small to medium-sized bids, ideally within the marine defence sector, or similar relevant industry.
You will also have skills and experience in the project management of complex and multidiscipline Engineering projects and tasks.

What will you be doing?
Your key duties will include:
• Primary single point of contact between Babcock, Lead Contractor and MOD;
• Capture planning, development of win theme and bid strategies, coordination and proposal writing for opportunities including setting up working arrangements with other BU's, as necessary;
• Project Management of tasks awarded to Babcock including maintenance of internal project reports;
• Providing project support to ships and subs NDP project teams based within 210 BBP;
• Contract administration including attending and contributing to monthly project reviews on status of NDP / FATS activities;
• Attending and contributing to monthly Business Growth meetings and Pipeline Reviews;
• Coordinating and advising technical teams from an understanding of both bidding and engineering principles (during bidding);

The experience you'll bring
You will have strong bid and/or project management skills and experience, within a technical engineering environment, along with the following attributes:
• Excellent stakeholder management skills;
• Coordinating small technical writing teams to produce compliant, credible and responsive proposals;
• Confident working in a customer-facing capacity;
• Ability to work across disciplines and Business Units and able to investigate technical issues in order talk confidently to teams of specialists and other internal stakeholders;
• You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving 'Security Check' (SC) clearance.
