Job Purpose
The Engineering Manager leads the planning and management of multi discipline projects involving the management, coordination and integration of multi discipline tasks. This role leads the engineering team to deliver technical solutions to budget, targets, and estimating the engineering scope for Projects from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC). The management responsibilities include the identification and development of strategic capabilities (people, processes, methods and tools) to meet project and task objectives.

Major Tasks and Activities:
You are accountable for management, control and delivery of engineering projects. At this level, projects feature the requirement to control and integrate are multi discipline tasks and work packages. The role may be required to be a Technical / Design Authority, providing assurance for a project or range of assets.

You must be fully aware of and adhere to Health & Safety standards and be fully familiar with all authorised documentation, Good Practice Guides and ISO standards.

You will ensure effective management of multi discipline teams to ensure timely & efficient delivery of engineering work to meet customer agreed scope, promote effective co-operation across Engineering and other functional teams and ensure effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship development with existing and new customers, to aid the development of business, resolution of technical and delivery issues, and such that the customer is fully briefed and informed of progress.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
You will require an engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience
You will also require chartered Engineer status, demonstrable management experience, including experience in managing multi-discipline teams to deliver analysis activities on a range of project types, excellent communications skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines

Desirable:
We would like you to be a member of relevant institute or to have significant demonstrable engineering experience and capable of registration with the Engineering Council and to have experience in managing engineering scope for Projects from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)
