DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer

£60-70K plus extensive benefits package

Due to the secure nature of this work all applicants will be required to gain UK Security Clearance to at least SC level. You must have been resident in the UK for at least the last 5 years and cannot have been outside the UK for more than 28 days on any one occasion within this time.

To be successful in this role:

You will be a confident DevOps Engineer who is comfortable leading and who has plenty of demonstrable hands-on experience. You will also be able to show experience and skills across the majority of the following:

• Linux sysadmin
• Cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP etc.)
• Networking
• IaC tooling (Terraform, etc.)
• Automated Configuration Management tooling (Ansible, etc.)
• Problem solving, in particular around connectivity issues
• An understanding of distributed systems
• Containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Secret Management
• Pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• GitOps and an understanding of the importance of everything as code
• Software development lifecycle (Agile/Lean methodologies)
• JIRA, collaboration
• Comfortable in a working from home environment

Our client is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to help further grow their digital teams of agile service design specialists within their Central Government Business. This role will see you build and deliver transformative user centred services and solutions in partnership with high profile clients across England and Wales.

Job role and responsibilities:

As a DevOps Engineer your work will include a multitude interesting projects, learning modern tooling and techniques to facilitate cutting-edge products on a variety of cloud and bare-metal platforms. You will also get opportunities to lead projects as well as to contribute towards process and technology choices that help deliver the best solutions for our clients.
