Interim Policy Patterns & Standard Lead

Pay Rate: Up to £825 per day pay range subject to IR35 status

Main Duties:

  • Organise and Chair the IdAM Policy and Schema Authority
  • Organise the strands of work and resources that will need to feed in to the IdAM Policy and Schema Authority
  • Work with team members on the Policies, Standards and Patterns to be submitted to the IdAM Policy and Schema Authority to ensure they are fit for submission
  • Manage the communications engagement to ensure that the CGB are aware of any approved policy documentation and how to access it
  • Identify existing IdAM Policies, Standards and Patterns and review/gain approval for their fitness of purpose for the current state and future state IdAM Environments
  • Identify any missing IdAM related Policies, Standards and Patterns and feed into the Backlog for production, this may be production by yourself or via another team better positioned to deliver the outcome
  • Develop a document map that shows all the IdAM related Policies, Standards and Patterns
  • Develop standardised templates to be used for Policies, Standards and Patterns
  • Work closely with the IAMS programme, IdAM project, Atlas Exit and MNO at a minimum to ensure alignment on Policies, Standards and Patterns
  • Work with the IAMS Technical team on any new Policies, Patterns and Standards required
  • Provide support to Business Change and Engagement where required during any implementation planning
  • Participate in in Architecture Boards as required
  • Attend the Sprint ceremonies
  • Deliver defined packages of work for each phase of the Sprints
  • Develop and provide input to the Sprint Backlog

Essential Requirement:

  • Solution Architecture design knowledge in both cloud and standard hosting environments
  • Good IdAM knowledge including MS Active Directory and MS Azure Active directory
  • Knowledge of Federating with external partners and the standards and patterns involved in that
  • Experience of delivering Policies, Standards and Patterns for an MS Azure AAD environment
  • Must be a highly driven self-starter who can identify what needs to be done and drive that forward without large amounts of support and guidance
  • Able to work in an agile manner
  • Strong communications skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels and manage chairing the Schema and Policy Authority
  • Must be SC cleared
  • Good skills to have:
  • Understanding of MOD IdAM
  • MS Azure Architect certification
  • MS Azure Security Engineer Associate certification
  • Knowledge of US and NATO IdAM and its policies, standards and patterns

  • Cloud experience / Microsoft Azure
  • Shemas
  • Architectural design
  • IT background (Architect)
  • Strong comms / stakeholder management
  • MOS experience preferred
