Role Overview

The emphasis is on Lead and coordination across the entire programme organisation. This is a key role within the programme and will require extensive leadership qualities and the ability to motivate peers. They will manage a team of individuals responsible for the overall Implementation Programme through Transition and Transformation covering key areas such as programme planning, governance, reporting, secretariat, RAID, change control, security administration, programme document control, quality control and benefits tracking.

Roles at this level achieve results and provide services either personally or through others in a specific area or discipline to meet defined quality or efficiency standards or to ensure best practice advice is given. Individuals possess the skills, knowledge and ability to perform and deliver without day to day supervision. They possess the ability to solve problems with commercial judgement and are influential in customer relationships. Roles at this level will require a detailed understanding of methods, systems and procedures. The work involves limited guidance and only general instructions from more senior colleagues. Therefore initiative and judgement are required to address and resolve daily problems.

Essential Skills

  • Participate in sales campaigns to demonstrate support office capability to clients.
  • Manage the Change Control of the Programme.
  • Manage and provide governance of the RAID process.
  • Quality Control and Benefits tracking.
  • Define the detailed scope and deliverable for the support office with both internal and external clients.
  • Establish support office budgets and gain acceptance for cost and where appropriate revenue and margin targets and manage assigned resources to these parameters.
  • Produce accurate forecasts of future support office performance and report on variance against forecast.
  • Deliver services in accordance with agreed scope, acceptance criteria, time, financial and quality measures, managing contractual arrangements for the support office services to external clients.
  • Assemble and update project or service plans, escalating deviations from published plans.
  • Compile project/service risk and issue registers and ensure robust management and mitigation of risk levels.
  • Compile delivery governance reports and project/programme reports.
  • Ensures that delivery methods and tools are used in a manner consistent with the project environment.
  • Provide management services to support project/service delivery. This may include, but is not limited to: compilation of budget and forecast figures; capability planning; milestone/delivery planning.
  • Ensure effective client engagement and stakeholder management for project/service delivery.
  • Complete assignment reviews at agreed periods or points in the project life cycle.
  • Team Management and mentoring.
