Network Architect
Farnborough, Hampshire (up to 3 days per week remote / work from home options)

Network Architect required by a thriving consultancy within the Defence and Security sector, based in Farnborough, Hampshire. The Network Architect will ideally be Security Cleared to SC level or match the criteria to be able to successfully undergo SC Level Security Clearance.

A few details about the role
As a Network Architect in a cutting-edge technology environment, you will have a challenging, vastly interesting, and technically diverse role. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing heterogenous networks for use in a complex, high threat environment (preferably government related)
  • General expertise in designing secure networks and knowledge of the latest solution options and approaches
  • Conducting rapid user research in a complex IT, network and mission environment and developing solution options using cloud-based approaches (Azure, AWS etc.)
  • Working with various teams across the business including Software Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering and Cyber Security
  • Onsite / project tech stack includes but is not limited to TOGAF, MODAF, Archimate, Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Apache (NiFi, Kafka), NodeJS, Typescript, MongoDB, AI, Machine Learning etc.

What you will need
As a Network Architect you will need the following experience:

  • Preferable: Experience of designing heterogenous networks for use in a complex, high threat environment (preferably government related)
  • Essential: general expertise in designing secure networks and knowledge of the latest solution options and approaches
  • SC strongly preferred – suitable and willing to be security cleared
  • Nice to have: understanding of MOD and other departmental IT in defence and security
  • Nice to have: experience in working in/delivering mission IT services, particularly in a US/UK and/or NATO environment
