Digital Service Lead (Inside IR35) (Active SC Clearance required)

As a Digital Service Lead your main responsibilities would be: 

  • Providing Specialist legacy system knowledge with FCDOS operating processes knowledge that is in limited supply in the open market
  • Managing the continuation of Critical Legacy IT systems for the provision of VISA applications
  • KEY Supplier Manager: Management of all newly designed ATLAS Visa and Immigration applications launched within HO Immigration Portfolio for internal & external citizens to be able to apply for Visas 
  • Implementing and managing the subsequent de-commissioning of said systems as take up of the new ATLAS functionality happens during the period of June 22 to October 2022
  • Supplier Management of Services from FCDOS into HO and internal HO services provided to the Business Departments (Immigration, Immigration Enforcement and UKVI)
  • Relationship Management of Ireland Visa Services
  • Supplier Manager for all data interchange of Biometrics with other Home Office systems
  • Providing Service Management documentation, training and handover of all key components and products that make up the new ATLAS Visa and Application services
  • Specialist Knowledge of Overseas Visa Applications, infrastructure and business processing 
  • Assisting UKVI teams with management of 3 Commercial partners (Sopra Steria, VFS & TLS) holding regular weekly calls and tracking Changes, Incidents and Problems and holding Weekly Service reviews for Critical services that deliver the UK Visa Service under FES International and FES UK
  • Management of the IPT IVACS service which historically has suffered issues and seen multiple complaints on the way it has been managed – working with Ireland closely and maintaining a very productive and helpful relationship with them
  • Managing the Immigration Health Surcharge Service and a key contributor to regular weekly meetings identifying and resolving service issues, incidents, supplier management, changes, development and ongoing service improvements – Service redesign coming in the future and historical knowledge will be key at this time
  • Working closely with Access UK Colleagues for interacting services such as GWF Generator, IHS, FES UK and FES International – established excellent working relationships that are leveraged to provide a quicker and more efficient service to UKVI and other Stakeholders.

 

 

You’ll have relevant experience in:

  • Strong technology-based service management experience with ability to demonstrate effective customer focus in service delivery.
  • Demonstrable Relationship Management experience building and maintaining effective relationships within Immigration team, wider teams in ES and DDaT, suppliers and external stakeholders.
  • Must have established, led and or supported service review regimes with suppliers (internal and external) and business stakeholders, to drive required quality service delivery against agreed service levels and outcomes.
  • A sound understanding of technology evidenced by insightful, knowledgeable and effective end to end service management of a range of complex, large and / or disaggregated services.
  • Experience of driving continual service improvements through the measurement and challenge of services and processes, tools and capability.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and maturing business process models.
