Technical Finance Advisor - Inside IR35

As a Technical Finance Advisor your main responsibilities would be: 

  • IFRS 16 Completeness – monthly production of active contract list to support the TLBs in assessing new and extended contracts, quarterly selection of samples and monitoring of progress.
  • IFRS 16 Lease Accounting Tool – provision of training in the use of the Lease Accounting Tool and regular review of the completed Tools.
  • Annual Budgeting Cycle (ABC22) and ABC23 – review of TLB Lease Accounting Tools, validation of system entries at set points, review of planned costs for IFRS16 and the associated variances and explanations.
  • Review and support IFRS 16 Shadow Year 2021/22 and 2022/23 actual accounting entries – including review of budget holder Lease Accounting Tools, posting of manual journals into the General Ledger in a test environment, review of forecast submissions and the associated variances and explanations in support of financial colleagues
  • Responding to financial accounting treatment queries relating to IFRS16.

You’ll have relevant experience in:

  • Microsoft tools with strong knowledge particularly of Excel.
  • Experience of technical accounting advice
  • Knowledge of financial aspects (IFRS 16)

Qualifications:

  • A fully qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent) is desired but not essential, a part qualified accountant may also be considered
