About the role

Babcock's Land Sector spends in excess of £900m per year on goods and services. This role is within the Defence Fleet and Information business and will support the Phoenix II contract.
The Procurement & Supply Chain (P&SC) function is currently undergoing a change program which will enable the successful candidate to become part of, and shape, a best in class function.
This successful candidate will be responsible for: Supplier, performance and relationship management of the Phoenix II suppliers and associated service delivery in line with the KPIs, Systems Requirements and Contract(s); support the delivery of rental services and the fleet replacement programme (including UK and overseas); conduct supplier due diligence and audits; identification and resolution of operational supplier issues; support to the procurement of lease and vehicle hire contract services via Further Competitions to the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) framework agreements (where applicable), or otherwise in accordance with appropriate UK Public Sector Procurement processes and procedures to deliver supply chain added value and/or efficiencies savings.

Main Tasks:

• Responsible for supplier, performance and overall account management and measurement in line with the Contracts e.g. CCS further competition, including safety, security, service delivery, sub-contractor management, supplier invoicing, aged debt, data accuracy and completeness, timeliness of data provision, communication and rectification plan management.
• Supplier performance management, through life, in line with Contracts, KPIs, PIs and System Requirements.
• Align requirements and service delivery between suppliers, inclusive of third party / sub-contract suppliers.
• Resolution of operational and customer supplier issues / challenges, incorporating lessons learned to enhance existing or develop new processes.
• Create and maintain effective supplier relationships at numerous levels of seniority.
• Risk and issue identification, with mitigation plans in place to protect the business and our customer.
• Leading procurement activity for your specific sub-category, including the development of sub-category strategies that consider external market factors.
• Internal and external reporting, ensuring all stakeholders are informed at all times.
• Conducting supplier due diligence, compliance to regulatory requirements, effective auditing process and governance are utilised.
• Capturing explicit supplier requirements to ensure that both the bespoke Authority and internal business requirements are delivered.
• Management of Request for Information (RFIs), Invitations to Tender (ITTs) processes, including Contract negotiations and renegotiations (supported by Commercial and Legal).
• Chair supplier review meetings and minute decisions and actions in line with the Contracts.
• Align processes and activity across the business to ensure clear roles, responsibilities, boundaries, ownership and accountability. Supporting operational process standardisation across the supplier base and deliver in line with the Quality Management System and Plan.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Managing Supplier performance to ensure output in line with contract SLA's and KPI's
• Account Management / Supplier Relationship Management background.

• Agrees action plan, allocates roles and responsibilities, agrees timelines and measure progress.

Bristol is a vibrant city in south west England with a wide range of attractions, landmarks, events and shopping. It has excellent transport links and is only 1.5 hours from London by train.
