Key purpose

The Serco Business Service - Reporting & Analytics (SBS-R&A) team are responsible for the delivery of data analysis and reporting across our Shared Services functions. Using our corporate BI platform (SAP BW/SAP Analytics Cloud), and Microsoft Azure (Synapse & Power BI), we develop enterprise wide solutions to help inform strategic decision making across HR, IT, Fleet, Finance, and Procurement functions.

The team are recognised across the business as experts in data analytics and are developing best practice solutions to meet the needs of a continually evolving business.

Our strategy is to enable data-informed decision making across the services, creating the right self-service reporting solutions, driving automation, whilst analysing our data to help identify opportunities to drive business value.

As the Reporting & Analytics Managers, you will play a critical role in helping to deliver the R&A strategy whilst ensuring a high-quality service delivery, responding to ad-hoc requests, for their relevant functions, across either HR, IT, Fleet, Finance, or Procurement.

What you'll need to do the role
  • Experience of development within business intelligence/data warehouse platforms, such as Power BI, Azure Synapse, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BW, Business Objects, etc.
  • Experience managing a team to deliver an operational service, and develop Analytical/Reporting products.
  • Strong data analysis, data visualisation and presentation skills.
  • Data manipulation skills, including ability to extract, transform, and analyse multiple large data sets to gain insights.
  • Ability to problem solve, break down complex issues and develop solutions based on findings in the data.
  • Communication skills with ability to translate complex issues or insights to non-technical customers, and senior leaders.
  • High customer focus with commercial awareness and a drive to deliver exceptional customer service
