Salary: up to £30k (dependent upon skills and experience)

Here at Serco we're looking for a Programme Manager to join Serco Education, a part of our Employment, Skills and Enterprise business unit. Serco Education delivers a range of national programmes and apprenticeships for the education sector including school business professionals, classroom teachers and school leaders, as well as those in the business sector - and as our Programme Manager you will be responsible for managing the School Business Professional programmes & other Apprenticeships.

A key member of Serco Education, you'll manage the operation of the School Business Management programmes and associated projects in order to fulfil and exceed contract objectives as well as to manage the operation of the Senior Leader Master's Degree Apprenticeship (SENCOs), and Teaching Assistant (TA) Apprenticeship and the Functional Skills (AEB provision. You'll lead and develop the team so that the performance level of all members of our team continually improves. Key duties will also include:
• Produce monthly updates summative financial and resource data for the core SBM programmes to support forecasting and accountability;
• Develop and support the SBM core programmes marketing strategy so that participant take up is increased;
• Manage relationships with Adfecto to ensure the effective delivery of the SBM core programmes;
• Lead the operational management of the Senior Leader Master's Degree Apprenticeship (SLMDA) SENCO and TA Apprenticeship, contributing to strategic planning and policy formation, implementation and evaluation;
• Develop and support the SLMDA SENCO and TA Apprenticeship marketing strategy so that participant take up is increased;
• Manage the AEB (West Midlands) Functional Skills administration for the recruitment of learners

This is a remote position, with the requirement to come to the Gloucester offices as required.

What you need to do the job

We are looking for someone who has experience in operational delivery of apprenticeships, particularly at level 4 or above. You should also have excellent planning and organisational skills and thrive under pressure. Experience in the education sector is preferred.

Naturally confident, you will be able to negotiate successfully with all stakeholders and have the gravitas to build solid relationships to leverage capability. It is important that you can get the best out of practices and processes and are not afraid to challenge the status quo.
