Job description
Applications are invited for the post of Product Manager.

The selected candidate will lead the delivery, on-going success and continuous improvement of one of more digital products and services, including gathering and prioritising requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with stakeholders to develop an agreed vision and roadmap for the product. The candidate will join a fast paced project focussed on the delivery of platforms and tools to help recruit police officers as part of Operation Uplift.

Responsibilities
All applicants must have:
• A degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in related discipline or extensive equivalent experience
• Certified SCRUM Product Owner or similar
• Extensive experience working in a digital enabled service provision dealing with software and mobile applications and secure hosting environments
• Experience working in challenging environments demonstrating skills of being assertive and self-assured; in particular when dealing with stakeholders influencing decisions
• The ability to prioritise own work to ensure deadlines are met
• Good understanding of project and programme management
• Thorough understanding of Data Protection law and requirements

  • Successful evidenced experience of prioritising and scheduling product backlog that includes refinement, participating in sprint planning, review and retrospective meetings to improve the quality and value of delivery
  • Extensive experience working in a digital enabled service provision dealing with software and mobile applications and secure hosting environments
  • Confident negotiating, influencing and networking skills, able to form beneficial working relationships internally and externally at senior levels
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
