Neighbourhood Watch is one of the biggest and most successful crime prevention initiatives, and involves millions of people around the country. We are looking for committed Police Support Volunteer to join our Royston Police Station Team.

As a Police Support Volunteer, you will perform non-critical tasks which support the daily activities of Police Officers and Staff.

A number of key tasks will be supporting the Safer Neighbourhood Team. You would be responsible for supporting our Neighbourhood Team assisting our Watch Liaison Officer on a Tuesday's between 10:00 - 14:00

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist our front-line team at Royston in this innovative role. Some of the key tasks for this exciting role would include administrative support, using police systems. Our volunteers may also assist the SNT at Neighbourhood Watch sign-up events and other pre-organised events.

Volunteers can attend supermarkets and other retail outlets, speaking to shoppers about the importance of keeping their property safe, offering crime prevention materials and providing information on the Neighbourhood Watch scheme.

We are looking for a committed volunteer, with good interpersonal skills is computer literate and able to undertake training on Police systems.

The Volunteer Scheme welcomes applications from across the county and reimburses travelling expenses up to 15 miles from the volunteering location.
