Job Details

An exciting opportunity exists for the role of Employer Supported Policing lead within Workforce Development at Headquarters (with opportunities for agile working as part of the Hertfordshire Constabulary policies).

This post will play a critical role in contributing to the vision of Hertfordshire Constabulary and the Hertfordshire Police & Crime Commissioner, to develop and drive the policing plan objectives around increasing the headcount of Special Constables within Hertfordshire under the Employer Supported Policing arrangements.

The role will involve working alongside a variety of teams and partners, whilst identifying and approaching local businesses to build relationships and awareness around ESP. You must possess strong interpersonal skills, have the ability to source, validate and analyse information, be able to think critically, develop relationships and have the confidence to influence businesses both verbally and in writing.

Entry Requirements;
  • To demonstrate experience and knowledge of the Employer Supported Policing scheme for the Special Constabulary
  • An ability to engage with high level stakeholders from the external corporate environment and use strong negotiation skills to sell the ESP branding.
  • An ability to confidently speak, present and communicate (in person, on the phone or written)
  • Proven ability in a wide range of IT systems as there is a requirement for the post holder to have the confidence and ability to deliver presentations and training to a large and diverse audience.
  • Educated to A Level or equivalent
  • Be able to work with little supervision and be driven to seek out opportunities for selling the ESP model.
  • Willingness to learn and develop

Selected candidates will be required to complete an assessment and interview as part of the selection process.
