SC Cleared Category Manager - Inside IR35

Contract Term: 6 Months

Contracting Authority: Bank of England

Location: London 1 to 2 days per week and the rest remote based

Note: Active SC Clearance is essential

We are now recruiting for 3 SC Cleared Category Managers who will provide support and guidance relating to best practice across the Bank in order to maximise value for money. You will work closely with Procurement Analysts and Category Leaders to provide stakeholders with Strategic Sourcing support/services as appropriate.

As a Category Manager your main responsibilities would be: 

  • Work with Business areas to raise commercial standards across the entire buying cycle i.e. supplier planning, selection (buying goods and services) and supplier / contract management.
  • Work with senior stakeholders to deliver savings using Category Management techniques (i.e. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management)
  • Provide support, services and guidance relating to best practise Strategic Sourcing / Vendor Management Policy, Governance, Process and Delivery Activity across the Bank in order to maximise value for money
  • Leading high value, high profile strategic sourcing projects (deploying sourcing tools) in a complex and politically sensitive environment

 

 

You’ll have/be:

  • Active SC Clearance
  • A full or part qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement (MCIPS).
  • Strong working knowledge of the Public Contract Regulations (2015)
  • Strong commercial management experience.
  • Previous experience of operating a Category Management i.e. strategic sourcing models & vendor management, function
  • Knowledge of the subcategories within Corporate e.g. Professional Services, Consultancy, Audit, Legal Services, Marketing.
  • Good knowledge of eProcurement systems and functionality
