What you'll be doing

  • Helping customers each day by answering inbound calls to our contact centre
  • Assisting customers with day-to-day transactions and enquiries
  • Helping to keep our customers and the bank safe
  • Solving problems and escalating issues when necessary
  • Updating customer records

What we're looking for

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor conversations to customers
  • Ability to follow process but also think on your feet
  • Understand and anticipate customer needs
  • Problem solving skills (real solutions, not just short-term fixes)
  • Ability to help as many customers as you can each day along with making each customer feel valued
  • Desire to proactively develop your skills and apply your knowledge to be the best you can be

What else you need to know

We're recruiting full-time roles at 35 hours per week. That means you'll work five seven-hour rotational shifts, between 08:00 to 20:00 Monday to Friday, and 08:00 to 18:00 Saturday and Sunday. For your continued flexibility you will receive a £1,000 fully flexible shift premium.

Colleagues will be scheduled to work post 18:00 only 2 weeks in 6 week rotation and scheduled to work 3 weekends in a 6 week rotation.

You'll be working in our Glasgow contact centre, in the bustling centre of Glasgow city centre. It's within walking distance of Central station or Charing Cross where there is a wide variety of shops and amenities on our doorstep.

How we'll reward you

As well as a competitive salary, you'll enjoy a benefits package that you can tailor to your needs. For contract roles, your salary, bonus (where eligible) and certain benefits will be prorated to reflect your working hours / contract duration.

Starting salary of £17,370 which could rise to £18,284 after 12 months in role, subject to successful performance
