We tackle those that pose the greatest risk to our safety and security. We operate proactively at the high end of high risk, undertaking investigations to bring offenders to justice.

The NCA has a wide remit and we are looking for committed individuals to join us in a Business Support capacity, to provide vital administrative and professional expertise across all departments in the NCA.

There are business support roles within our operational and capabilities functions.

We are offering an optional apprenticeship route within the following specialisms: Intelligence - (National Data Exploitation Capability). Human Resources and Digital Data and Technology.

Job description

To provide an efficient support service to National Crime Agency operations, corporate and service functions, programmes or projects, contributing towards the successful delivery of business objectives across the organisation.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide business, administrative, secretarial and/or tactical support to corporate or central service functions as tasked.
• Search, collate and analyse data from multiple sources/ data systems.
• Provide administrative support to the business area to include the preparation of documents, typing and co-ordinating departmental correspondence, arranging meetings, diary management,
minute taking, maintain, develop and review office systems/processes, travel bookings including accommodations/ car/ reservations, organise events and raise purchase orders in sport of
departmental activity (administrative roles).
• Perform effective case management to include analysis of case data and the monitoring logging and coding of case material in accordance with data protection and disclosure legislation.
• Your varied duties mean that every day will bring a new challenge. The often time –critical nature of your activities will mean you must be able to multi- task and priories.

From your first day, you will play your part.

You may be expected to work directly or indirectly in tackling child sexual exploitation and abuse. This may involve exposure to child sexual abuse images and material. All officers working on or supporting this type of operational activity will undergo a psychological assessment on taking up the role and at regular intervals once in post.

Qualifications

The following qualifications/skills are essential to the role and proof will be required at interview:

Applicants wishing to apply via the apprenticeship route will need either grades A – C or grades 4 – 9, in Maths and English. If you do not have this you will be required to sit a functional skills test.

Should you progress to the assessment stage of the process, you will be required to provide a copy of the original certificate.
