The Role of a SEO PSO

Purpose of role: These roles are to support design and delivery of Industry Partnership’s cross-government standards programme.

This programme has been established to ensure there is the right provisions at ports to operate a secure and effective border.

The roles will cover/support a diverse range of activities across the programmes two workstreams, infrastructure standards (Port Provisions) and technology standards (Border Code).

 

 

Key Outcome & Deliverables

  • Development of programme governance regime across workstreams, to include comprehensive project plan and GANTT, with internal/external dependencies identified
  • Finalised infrastructure standards
  • Technology options analysis and standards design
  • National Statement of Expectations design
  • Compliance & assurance regime requirements gathering and design
  • Workshop setup and requirements gathering
  • Senior Stakeholder Engagement, to include design of briefing material
  • MI Reporting
 

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Planning and scheduling
  • Requirements management
  • Monitoring and reporting
  • Stakeholder management
  • Risk and issue management Be able to grasp complex information with attention to detail Organisational Skills
  • PRINCE2, APM PMQ, MSP or equivalent
 

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Governance
  • Working within the civil service
  • Commercial awareness
  • Compliance and assurance
  • Change control
