About the job Summary

This role represents an excellent opportunity for an HR professional to deliver exceptional customer service and contribute to the successful running of the HR team in a wide variety of roles in Policy & Reward, Complex Casework, HR Resourcing, Talent & Performance and Diversity & Inclusion.

These are high profile roles requiring energy and commitment to changes and improvements. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate their ability to lead a HR team through change and engage confidently with stakeholders to ensure that priorities and objectives are delivered in a structured way.

Job description

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a HR function. Ideally they will have a grounding in HR experience and have excellent organisational and workload management experience.
 

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

- Lead, manage and develop a team of officers. Allocate work and ensure they are skilled to deliver. Manage performance issues.
- Maintain internal HR protocols ensuring all work is carried out in line with employment legislation and NCA policy and procedures.
- Consult and negotiate with internal and external partners to achieve departmental objectives.
- Provide advice and technical guidance on specific work area.
- Manage issues relating to performance and conduct of officers in line with NCA values.

***All NCA officers must hold SC Enhanced upon entry as a minimum. To meet the National Security Vetting requirements for this role you will need to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years. For more information please see the Candidate information Pack***

Qualifications

The following qualifications/skills are essential to the role and proof will be required at interview:

CIPD Foundation Level Diploma or equivalent (Essential to work in the Complex Casework Team only).

Should you progress to the assessment stage of the process, you will be required to provide a copy of the original certificate.

Failure to provide evidence at interview may result in your application not progressing to the next stage.

Technical skills

  • Proven experience of working in a busy HR environment with a focus on: HR policy, attendance / sickness management, performance, grievances, disciplines, employment tribunals, HRBP, recruitment, talent management, wellbeing or diversity & inclusion.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the confidence and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff at all grades.
  • Understanding of risk management with the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast paced environment meeting specific deadlines.
  • Proven experience of leadership and/or team management

Security

Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is SECURITY CHECK (SC)

Medical

Successful candidates will be expected to have a medical.
