Interim Category Lead - Hybrid Working 

Pay Rate: Up to £600 per day pay range subject to IR35 status

Please note: you must have active SC - Security Clearance

You will be responsible for delivering Procurement’s strategy and vision, and is aligned to the Facilities Management (FM) category, which includes Facilities Management (hard and soft) and Notes.

You will:

  • Lead the delivery of value-for-money in the category via strategic sourcing approaches
    • Agree strategic sourcing priorities with business areas
    • Continue building procurement pipeline of work
    • Continue developing commercial competencies across the business areas
    • Continue driving the procurement metrics (“vital signs”) forwards, such a contract visibility and % of spend competed
  • Promote effective contract and supplier management, helping to implement the Bank-wide framework developed by the Supplier Management Lead
  • Embed effective risk management by implementing risk controls to drive compliance to policy
  • Drive sustainability in the category, by notably working closely with Subject Matter Specialists
  • Ensure efficient and consistent use of eProcurement systems, in line with the defined workflows (aligned to internal policy)
  • Provide quality assurance of all tender documents, for tender run by the Category Managers

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required
Technical capabilities:

  • Experience of strategic sourcing
  • Experience of FTS-level public procurement
  • Experience of using public-sector frameworks
  • Consistent track record of benefits delivery through the application of strategic sourcing techniques and use of relevant systems
  • Working knowledge of e-tendering systems (ProActis)

Behavioural capabilities:

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience of working in a client-focused environment on whole project lifecycles
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Demonstrable excellent organisational, planning and time management skills

It would also be advantageous to be MCIPS qualified, and have experience of using OJEU competitive negotiated procedure and competitive dialogue routes-to-market.
