THE OPPORTUNITY

As a member of the wider MCR Global family, you will be joining our small, but rapidly expanding team of consultants here in the United Kingdom.  This opportunity is for an experience Aviation Engineer to support our defence client located in Bristol.  Off-payroll rules apply (inside IR35).

THE ROLE

  • Assist with the development of regulation, policy and guidance for aviation software, cyber security airworthiness and complex electronic hardware in the Programmable Elements (PE) sphere.
  • Provide certification assurance of aviation Programmable Elements (PE) aspects of UK Military Registered Air Systems as an SME in the programmable elements field
  • Provide expert advice to airworthiness process owners on aviation Programmable Elements (PE) issues relating to Integrity Management. A focus should be given to programmable elements
  • Research and brief aviation Programmable Elements (PE) issues that manifest as threats to air safety to the relevant stakeholders

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be experienced with complex electronic hardware and safety critical software
  • Must have Certification and Aircraft experience
  • Experience providing certification assurance of aviation Programmable Elements (PE) aspects of UK Military Registered Air Systems
  • Experienced providing expert advice to airworthiness process owners on aviation Programmable Elements (PE) issues relating to Integrity Management
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to research and brief aviation Programmable Elements (PE) issues that manifest as threats to air safety to the relevant stakeholders
  • Must be a United Kingdom national only
  • Must be in possession of an active United Kingdom Secret (or above) security clearance
