The Role of a Senior Project Manager

Your role as Project Manager is to manage the project and the project team. You will be responsible for driving and overseeing the project???s delivery to ensure objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints. You will have a key role in project governance and working with stakeholders to ensure the agreed project outputs are delivered, enabling benefits to be realised.

Lead a pool of Product Creation Managers capable of efficiently and successfully developing the Border at Airports products. Be overall responsible for the successful and profitable delivery of the Border projects in the Roadmap.

Chair the Border Project Review Boards, actively monitor/mitigate portfolio risks and provide regular project and program status reports to the direct line Manager, Head of Product Creation and portfolio Management team on ensuring significant risks are raised and mitigated.

Act as the first level of escalation in case of issues on large and complex projects (after the Project Creation Project Manager) and own the resolution of escalations, involving the Head of Product Creation, Portfolio Director or Vice-President of Portfolio Relevance as required.

• Identify project dependencies and ensure that they are clearly documented and communicated
• Structure the development of the product readiness based on the internal / external supplier dependencies.
• Assist product management in the structuring of the developments, identifying all required resources to create a large cross functional team ??? ensuring resources are assigned, costed, and committed
• Agree roles, responsibilities and activities as well as establish milestones for successful project completion Co-ordinate with key contributors to review program status, scope changes, and to detect any deviations or cross program dependencies and facilitate any conflict resolution.
• Identify, analyse and quantify risks and take steps to mitigate risks, including organizational gaps.
• Regularly review project status with the Cross Functional Team and stakeholders, identify deviations or changes and suggest corresponding corrective actions.
• Specify IT Business requirements & design products based on Requirements
