The Role

The role provides an excellent opportunity to work at the heart of Law Enforcement Innovation, which leads on major innovation projects across multiple Programmes focusing on the Policing Technology landscape.

Typical Responsibilities of the post

??       Identify and monitor project risks and issues.

??       Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate.

??       Ensure stakeholders are briefed, updated and where appropriate, enrolled in the management and control of key risks.

??       Track and report delivery against milestones.

??       Manage performance and report progress to sponsors.

??       Previous experience of working in a programme or project environment

??       Proven ability to manage workload and time and to deliver required outputs to challenging timelines

??       Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to form well thought out conclusions and recommendations.

??       Methodical approach to maintaining essential programme and project information to provide auditable information in a controlled change environment

??       Analytical thinking and the ability to interpret data.

Essential Criteria:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with an understanding of the use of different channels and formats for different audiences.
  • Ability to be proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing their own time and priorities effectively.

??       Co-ordinating monthly financial returns

??       Co-ordinating monthly project reporting (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint)

??       Support boarding new resources

??       Support scheduling and management of meetings

??       Initiative and organisation skills

??       Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written

??       Support scheduling and management of meetings

    Raid logs Risk and Issue
  •  Working experience in Agile and Waterfall or Prince 2
  • Ability to work and act under own initiative under pressure and be creative in tackling challenges and finding solutions
  • Experience of working in a busy, evolving environment
  • Strong communication skills, including communicating to different levels and groups in the organisation
  • Good presentation skills
