Interim Senior Finance Officer

Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day pay range subject to IR35 status

Delivery of the Department's annual statutory accounts. Collection and quality assurance of accounting and in-year financial performance data, including maintenance and development of the data collection and consolidation systems. Management of the Department's General Ledger and Non-Current Asset Register. Provision of specialist accounting advice and guidance to the Department.

Key Duties:

  • Able and willing to commute to Bristol 3 days each week
  • Management of transactional services team (AP/AR and Cash & bank).
  • Manage and direct resources to ensure work is completed within agreed timescales/financial constraints and quality standards, in line with policy.
  • Management experience essential
  • Understanding of information management.
  • Understanding of accounting policies and practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal / customer service skills.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Information technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and financial modelling.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and an ability to explain complex information to a range of audiences including nonaccountants.

    You’ll have relevant experience in:

  • Risk management.
  • Analytics
  • Budget management experience.
  • Experience of analysing information from a range of sources.
  • Experience of providing written and oral advice to senior management.
  • Experience of working in transactional services essential
