An exciting opportunity for an Systems Engineer to join the Hexegic team. Hexegic is an award winning business focussing on the Defence Sector.

The role itself will be based in the UK Defence Academy at Shrivenham working with a network of international partners, furthering the UK’s understanding of interoperability with other multinational partners.  The team is building on recent success and expanding into other areas within the MOD. 

There will be opportunities to work within the internationally recognised Federated Mission Network Framework and to also engage in experimental work in conjunction with the US and other partners, around Data Centric Security and other technologies that will be new to the MOD. With opportunity for international travel.

Hexegic will be looking for experienced, independent minded Engineers who are able to work as part of a small, but growing technologically focussed team and on their own. Flexibility working remotely or in office can be negotiated. CIAV is a results focussed organisation built around a quick tempo and ability to complete tasks on time.

Experience and skills are required in ADFS, Windows Server 2012r2, 2016 and WSUS Management. An attractive training fund is part of the deal and will be tailored around both the needs of the project and personal development targets. 

The Lab at Shrivenham conducts application interoperability across a network of international partners. Following further programme success, Hexegic is looking to recruit a further Systems Engineer to join its multi-disciplinary team.

  1. Maintenance of several Nodes at different FMN (federated mission network) Spirals in accordance with the relevant documentation
  2. Ensuring the system(s) are ready and correct for the completion of Test and Use Cases
  3. Configure NATO FAS Apps in accordance with current and Future Schedules of Change.
  4. Administration of ADFS, AD and DNS

Technical competencies

  • Operating systems 2008r2, 2012r2 and 2016
  • Exchange 2010
  • SharePoint 2013
  • Experience of CISCO Networking and Firewalls
  • Basic knowledge of Linux

This role requires candidates to have current security clearance.
