We are actively seeking a highly personable and technically astute Programmer for Space Applications. Sound like a great fit?

THE ROLE

Your daily role responsibilities will include:

  • Create and customize pages, applications and functionalities in SharePoint 2016; 
  • Create and customize workflows in SharePoint 2016; 
  • Create community pages in SharePoint 2016; 
  • Connect SharePoint 2016 libraries to each other (e.g. with lookups);
  • Create in SharePoint 2016 filters and search features to visualize different information based on databases and MS Excel
    spreadsheets; 
  • Integrate and visualize different sources of information (e.g., ESRI) in SharePoint pages;
  • Develop ESRI dashboards and filters; 
  • Import information into ESRI from open-source and MS Excel; 
  • Manipulate and handle data on MS Excel; 
  • Support multidisciplinary teams and technical and operational stakeholders; 
  • Participate in technical and operational meetings, offering advice and seeking solutions; 
  • Support NATO in the development of recommendations for updates to current services; 
  • Provide meaningful input to envisioning IT solutions that fit best NATO requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Passionate about this opportunity? Here are the basic qualifications we are looking for:

  • Nationally recognized/certified university qualification on computer science / programming. Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 3 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post;
  • Excellent knowledge of C#, HTML, and visual basic programming languages 
  • Excellent knowledge of SharePoint and ESRI applications;
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel; 
  • Able to receive and execute tasking in accordance with direction from NCI Agency engineers/scientists;
  • Ability to plan and execute assigned project tasks taking into account policies, programme goals, and priorities, funding and 
    other planning constraints; 
  • Ability to work on its own and as part of a team; 
  • Strong listening and communication skills in English
  • Must hold a NATO or National Secret Security Clearance
  • Must have the right to live and work in duty location unencumbered
